He has more than three decades of  experience in power and allied sectors.

Before incorporating the  company, he has worked as Sr. Executive Vice President and Business Head of Mumbai Transmission unit of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.

Under his leadership, Mumbai Transmission unit, in addition to achieving the best operating parameters, has carried out the unique innovative design and construction of the most compact 220/33 KV stations (one tenth of the size of earlier stations) in Mumbai city. The unit got honored with many awards, including 5 S certification, Golden Peacock Innovation Management Award & Golden Peacock Award for OSHAS and Certificate of Merit under the prestigious Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (RBNQA) etc.

Earlier, he has been associated for more than two decades in power Transmission and Generation by working in major Power Utilities of India i.e. NTPC ltd. and Power Grid Corporation of India.
He has pursued B. Tech. and later completed MBA in Finance. He has widely traveled in India as well as in Europe and Asia. He has many number of papers published to his credit.

Recently, he was awarded the 50 Most Impactful Green Leaders (Global Listing), citation during the WORLD CSR CONGRESS 2016, at HOTEL TAJ LAND END, Mumbai.

Now, Mr. M S Rao has also been chosen to be on the Advisory Council of World CSR Congress 2017.
